Janelle Poulter is committed to serving the students and youth of the Pass Area communities. She serves Beaumont Unified as a Trustee and has since her appointment in 2010. She is currently the Clerk of the Board. Additionally, she is a high school counselor in Banning Unified. Her career of serving youth began nearly 23 years ago.
Poulter studied English and psychology at UC Riverside and has been a certified counselor for over a decade after completing her Master's Degree at Azusa Pacific University. She is a daughter of educators and she credits her commitment to working with students to her parents. The combination of her own college aspirations and her family's support help to set her path of helping others reach their dreams of attending college.
Her office is full of college pennants and she hopes that anyone of those pennants might inspire one of her student to attend college.
Poulter also enjoys playing golf and exercising. She is married and has one daughter and one son.
